The Big Yum’s slightly curved ball persona has much to do with its non-confirmist founders Pippa and Aaron, who met speed-dating and then opted for a turbo-powered, ‘hold on to your hats’ romance, getting hitched and nipping off around the world on a six month ‘open their eyes’ adventure to fill their hiking boots with fun and rewarding foodie experiences.
Back in Blighty our two fine snacking enthusiasts decided that the time was now ripe to stop telling people how best to build their brands (both founders had enjoyed fulfilling ‘agency land roles’ in PR, events and advertising) and create a brand of their own, which they affectionately named The Big Yum.
Our goal is to provide a refined snacking safe haven where discerning nibbles enthusiasts can take heart, learning what it’s like to be truly appreciated. We make a particular point of taking culinary inspiration from wherever we’ve travelled, never settling for safe, second-best solutions.
Also, we’ve travelled enough to know that we’re pretty lucky souls, which is why we decided from the very outset that we wanted to give a little bit back. So as we grow, we intend to help a wide range of charities and foundations across the world, be it feeding programmes, relief or more educational-related projects.
